One Year of Uhhuhhunnybee: What a wild and beautiful ride
I truly can’t believe I’m writing this - celebrating one full year of Uhhuhhunnybee apothecary products! This milestone has me feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. What started as a dream - just me, a single product, and a vision - has grown into something far more meaningful than I ever imagined.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single one of you who has supported this small business over the past year. Your encouragement, your orders, your shares with friends and family… it’s all helped me grow both personally and professionally, and it’s re-sparked my creativity in the most beautiful way. I can’t wait to create even more for you in the year ahead.
The Story So Far
A year ago, I launched Uhhuhhunnybee with just one product and whole lot of hope. Today, I’m proud to offer a growing line of handmade apothecary goods - including nourishing face oil, lip balm, hair growth oil, linen spray, and even a few digital downloads designed to support women through pregnancy and childbirth.
But this journey started long before my first Etsy listing. For years, I dabbled in blogging, DIY skincare, and natural home products - sharing with family and friends and seeing firsthand how they boosted my confidence and supported my health. When I became pregnant, I became even more mindful of what I was putting on and around my body, and that deeper awareness pushed me to finally take the leap and share my all-time favorite: The Nourishing Face Oil.
That product changed my skin - and honestly, my mindset. It’s still the one product I never want to live without, and it’s the heart of Uhhuhhunnybee. From there, the collection slowly grew to include the Sleep Well mangesium spray, Refreshing Linen & Room Spray, Grow Hair Oil, Polishing Sugar Scrub, and more.
Over maternity leave, I had the best time dreaming, creating, and packaging up these little labors of love. When I returned to work in January, things naturally slowed down - but now, four months in, I’m feeling reenergized and ready to build again. One of the biggest changes I made this year was transitioning from Etsy to my own website - a move that felt like a huge step in claiming this space as mine and building something truly sustainable.
December was my busiest month to date, and seeing so many of you gifting these products to your loved ones meant more to me than I can express. It reminded me that these creations aren’t just items - they’re extensions of care, of intention, and of love.
What’s Next
As I look toward this next chapter I’m so excited about what’s to come! I’ve been working on an oil cleanser for the last four months, and I finally feel like I’ve nailed the formula - stay tuned, because it’s coming soon! I’m also dreaming up new ways to support your routines from head to toe with thoughtful, handmade products that feel good and do good.
Beyond the shop, I’m hoping to show up more consistently on Instagram, here on the blog, and maybe even TikTok. I’ve always loved chatting about skincare, homemaking, mindfulness, and women’s health with the people in my life - and my dream is to become a trusted, cozy corner of the internet where you can come for inspiration, encouragement, and simple joy.
My hope is to build a community rooted in wellness, simplicity, and intention. I want to walk alongside you as we seek to live more naturally and more mindfully, supporting one another in both the everyday and the extraordinary.
